However, it was the experience of watching her parents battle cancer and ultimately losing them that solidified her resolve to pursue a career in caregiving. Their journey inspired her to become a Personal Support Worker. As a Program Supervisor, you can count on Artee to bring her positive energy and readiness to jump into work every day. Her proactive approach can be seen in her innovative programming and in the engaging atmosphere she creates. FAQ Frequently asked questions General Services Get Involved Membership What is Sarah's Place? Sarah’s Place is a new day program for adults with special needs. Located in Whitby, near the Brock and Dundas intersection, it offers educational programs tailored to each member's unique abilities. Our program is open year-round, every weekday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Who is Sarah? Sarah is our brand ambassador and a valued member of Sarah's Place. She is the childhood friend of our founder, Kimberley Mills, and is the person who inspired our service. What services do you offer? Currently, we offer a day program for adults with all exceptionalities from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Learn more about our day program here. A recreational program is currently in development. We are aiming to provide accommodation for some of our members. Find out more about our recreational program here. Where are you located? We are located at 114 Dundas St E unit #100 in Whitby Ontario, near the Brock and Dundas intersection. Our entrance is accessed through the back parking lot off of Perry St. What are your holiday hours? The closure dates for 2024 are as follows: Monday, January 1: New Year’s Day Monday, February 19: Family Day Friday, March 29: Good Friday Monday, May 20: Victoria Day Monday, July 1: Canada Day Monday, August 5: Civic Holiday Monday, September 2: Labour Day Monday, October 14: Thanksgiving Wednesday, December 25: Christmas Day Thursday, December 26: Boxing Day Is Sarah's Place government funded? No, Sarah's Place is a for-profit, private school. Families are able to utilize Passport Funding to help cover the costs of our day program.
